The opportunity is real but complex

AfCFTA covers 54 countries and 1.3 billion people, the world's largest free trade area by country count. For agricultural exporters, it offers potential access to preferential tariffs where eligible, reduced non-tariff barriers, and new regional markets.

But the rules are complex. Tariff schedules, rules of origin, documentation requirements, phytosanitary standards, the barriers to entry are real. Most agricultural SMEs and cooperatives lack the internal expertise to navigate them alone.

That is the gap AfriTrade Consulting was built to close.
